About EPBF

WHAT IS EPBF

The European Paintball Federation - is an international association, governing Paintball sport in Europe. EPBF is the European Confederation, uniting all national paintball federations of Europe.

Currently the federation represents 15 National Paintball Federations.

EPBF represents, through its Members, many thousands of individual athletes and hundreds of thousands of fans all over Europe.

EPBF is represented on UPBF Commissions and provides valuable input reflecting the views of its member National Federations, assuming a key role in the periodic review of the Paintball Competition Rules, assisting in the efforts of the sport of paintball to secure broad social recognition and in their will to feature in the Olympic Movement.

 

EPBF VISION & GOALS

VISION

EPBF wants to unite, promote and support all the National Paintball Federations in Europe, co-ordinate their common interests and goals while preserving their autonomy, promoting their values and to position itself as one of the leading European Sport Confederation.

GOALS

Expand the scope, reach a recognition of EPBF and its Members in the Olympic Movement and other sport and non-sport organisations.

Engage with and service every European Paintball Federation to promote and develop of the sport of Paintball around Europe.

Create a sustainable business and governance model and establish and promote global best practices.

Increase the sustainability and growth of EPBF and its Members.

Establish and promote the European Paintball Standards globally.

 

Action plan towards the strategic goals

In order to lay out how the strategic goals will be accomplished, the following action plan has been established.

Expand the scope, reach a recognition of EPBF and its Members in the Olympic Movement and other sport and non-sport organisations.

  • Elevate the influence and relationships of EPBF and its Members in the UPBF and its Commissions in order to reach a recognition in the IOC, in the NOC’s, in Sportaccord and related organisations; in Governmental and non-Governmental institutions and entities.
  • Act as a spokesperson of behalf of its Members: the sole collective representative of European Paintball Federations. As the EPBF Confederation - to cooperate with the Confederations recognized by UPBF and to disseminate information on UPBF activities.
  • Develop the profile of EPBF and its Members.

Engage with and service every European Paintball Federation.

  • Become the true link between all Paintball Federations in Europe, pursuing its Members collective direction through a democratically inspired decision making process.
  • Provide assistance to EPBF Members on paintball development.
  • Strengthen the role of the EPBF as a service organisation, whilst increasing transparency and accountability of EPBF management.
  • Create a Management Team using existing skills and competencies and complementing this with new expertise where and when required. Ensure that the Management Team acts independently of political issues so that it can serve all EPBF members and stakeholders equally.

Create a sustainable business and governance model and establish and promote global best practices.

  • Create a sustainable business model, a governance model, a communication plan, a sponsoring and marketing plan, a financial plan and eventually revise the Statutes to cope with the on-going changes.
  • Set up the organisation with its own headquarters in Paris (France), bank accounts, budget, staff and work plans.
  • Increase EPBF’s activity support with greater professional staff support while continuing effective relationships with volunteers, members and collaborative partners.
  • Re-focus EPBF on its fundamental democratic values and principles to create a highly credible organisation devoted to serving its members and stakeholders.
  • Create a consensus driven decision making process which takes into account the views and concerns of all Members and reflects the democratic values of the Members which cannot be usurped by short term political or commercial interests.
  • Establish the EPBF Code of Ethics in order to safeguard integrity and reputation of EPBF world-wide and ensure high ethical standards in order to foster a credible position as a European class leading paintball sport authority.
  • Ensure the independence of the Council and Management Team from any conflicting interests.
  • Introduce the European Paintball Standards and guidelines for global paintball sport expansion and recognition.
  • Design and implement a focused value proposition, marketing and brand strategy for EPBF.
  • Strengthen the Federation on an organisational and financial basis, identify revenue opportunities and secure more financial resources. Provide mechanisms to leverage the capabilities and resources of the Members across the European community.

Increase the sustainability and growth of EPBF and its Members.

  • Guide EPBF into the future based on increased stability, sustainability and growth through a constant focus on people and environmental awareness.
  • Provide increased support for successful programs such as youth development schemes, thus broadening the participation base to develop young talents and creating a clear and defined pathway for progression into “senior sport”.
  • Provide a support for referees training programs to increase the European Referees community inside the Euroref Organisation.
  • Promote environmental awareness and environmentally friendly technologies within the EPBF and Paintball Sport so that the organisation can influence today’s environmental agenda and avoid unwanted restrictions imposed upon EPBF and its Members.
  • Leverage the asset/knowledge base built in cooperation with the EPBF Members.
  • Stimulate a wide participation and a continuous development of excellence in a safe and respectful environment.
  • Adapt the anti-doping rules in European Paintball.

Establish and promote the European Paintball Standards globally.

  • Establish and promote the unified European Paintball Standards within the EPBF and European Paintball Sport so that the organisation can influence European competitions regulations and to adapt the European Paintball Rules.
  • Fully cooperate with Members in establishing European Paintball Standards to avoid unwanted restrictions imposed upon EPBF and its Members by National Laws.
  • Ensure that there are no conflicts between the European Paintball Standards and Unified Paintball Standards established by UPBF and eventually revise the Standards to cope with the on-going changes.
  • Ensure that European Paintball Standards are adhered to European Championships, European series, National and International competitions under the control of EPBF and its Members.
  • Cooperate with Confederations within UPBF on establishing and promoting the Unified Paintball Standards.

HOW TO AFFILIATE WITH EPBF:

In all the questions about affiliation please contact the Paintball Sport and Strategy Committee at kerem(@)epbf.net (Kerem Barcool).

To affiliate with EPBF, you have to be registered National Federation or Association.

Please download the AFFILIATION form, fill it out and send it to info(@)epbf.net for a consideration of the EPBF Executive Committee.

After your affiliation is approved, we will Invoice your Organization on the Affiliation fee amounts.

After the payment is done, please send the payment confirmation and your organization logo to info(@)epbf.net.

Your Orgznization will be added to the EPBF Members List in 1 week latest after the affiliation fee payment.

Your National League events will be included into EPBF events calendar and the results will be counted in the EPBF Ranking. For that we will need your National league current calendar and events results after each event. The results of each event should be sent to info(@)epbf.net maximum in 1 week after the event`s finishing.
