2013 Championship Women`s

2013 EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIP U19 VIDEO-PRESENTATION (on YouTube)

Not many National Federations can boast of having a Women`s National team. Unfortunately, paintball is mostly a mans sport, and very few women dare to enter paintball. But what a joy for men it must be, to see women playing paintball! Women teams usually attract the biggest amount of spectators in the stands, so they receive the biggest support from men, and imagine what happens in the grandstands during the Women`s Championship? The crowded grandstands are struggling with the weight of all the supporters!

This year 7 National Federations were lucky to represent the Women`s National team for the European Championship, those were France, Russia, Great Britain, Poland, Germany, Norway and Netherlands!

As last year, the grandstands were full of spectators till the last game, they were cheering each team coming on the field, enjoying the games and they were showering winners with screams and applause! Because of the women playing, spectators were very excited, men`s teams don`t receive so much support. As last year, spectators were enjoying every victory and worrying about every defeat.

Despite their hard work and tough games, Francу failed to keep the title of the Champion from last year. They did not even manage to get 2nd. But they are eager to take revenge next year!

Once more we should congratulate Russia who took 2nd place, same position as last year. Their Coach Sergey Samuylov ensures that tough training and hard work will help them to get first next year!

Norway must be very proud of their Women`s team now, because they are the Champions! They beat both France and Russia and no one expected them to get first place but themselves. So we congratulate them one more time!

We are grateful to all the participants: to the Millennium Series for the support provided for the European Champ Women organisation; to National Teams and also all the National Federations involved in the organisation; to Euroref guys for their hard referee work; and those, who helped to produce the very best paintball atmosphere ever - THE SPECTATORS!
