Important changes for European Championships in 2015

As you may remember, the M500 has been presented on the first Millennium Series event in Puget-sur-Argens. It was a great success with a lot of benefits for every participant, so we decided to use it for the European Championships.

According to the EPBF Executive Committee decision from Bitburg (Meeting Minutes from May 10, 2015 in Bitburg, Germany), M500 is the official format of the European Championships for 2015. The relevant changes will be made in the EPBF Rules.

New format has the only limit on the amount of paints for the game and has no influence on other Tournament Regulations.

In M500, each player can access the field for each point with 1 loader (up to 280 balls capacity) and 2 140 round paintballs pods. Before starting each point at the start base, players can switch pods between teammates. The game is then played using the normal Race2 format

Games for 3^rd place

Because there are no games for 3^rd place in other sports in such ranked competitions as European or World Championships (or Cups), EPBF decided to keep this practice and to skip the game for 3rd place for European Championships.

To anticipate all questions about the qualification system: we may have qualification games, preliminary games, quarter-(or echo) finals, semi-finals and a game for 1^st place.

The relevant changes will be made in the EPBF Rules.

National Teams Jerseys design

Because of the issue we were facing with National team jerseys recently, which were not in national colors and with printed paintball sponsors on it, it was decided to warn all the National Federations about showing the National Jerseys design for approval before printing it. In case if National jerseys mismatch the official NATIONAL JERSEYS TEMPLATE, players will not be allowed to wear the jerseys on the field. The only exception can be made in a force-major, than the EPBF Executive Board should make an individual decision based on the circumstances.

IMPORTANT: The decision has been made about an exception for Paintball Jerseys Manufacturers logo, so it can be printed as Non-paintball Sponsors logo.
